Leaf removal

Natural Decor for Thanksgiving

Here we are, just a couple weeks away from Thankgiving.

And if you need some ideas to add a little Thanksgiving flare around your yard, I’ve got a few suggestions.

Just like you’ve, we’ve got kids who have been stirring around the house for a loooong time this year. My wife is keeping them active and creative by making fall decorations and ornaments from natural elements they find outside.

This year trendy décor include filled lanterns, wreaths, fall holiday trees, and homemade ornaments. Some good vegetation you may find around your yard to create these pieces include:

  • Acorns
  • Magnolia branches
  • Pinecones
  • Pine branches
  • Driftwood
  • Boxwood
  • Holly
  • Winterberry
  • Pumpkins, Gourds, Pears & Apples
  • Dried Leaves
  • Lavender
  • Feathers

The kids really get into it, and it keeps them busy for hours. We also work on our plant identification in the process (good landscapers in the making!)
